The chronic stresses and shocks of living in poverty are most acutely felt, in South Africa, by the 5 million people with disabilities and their families. This community is uniquely challenged to exercise some of their basic human rights. As a society, the value of persons with a disability to the economy has not been recognised which has resulted in barriers to inclusion to employment, and a perpetuated model of dependency and welfare. By donating towards a barrel of clothes we work with our partners Clothes2Good to help the most marginalised in our communities.
